Mark, Jennifer, Ethan, Emily

This blog is about our family, who have dealt with the loss of two sons with Muscular Dystrophy, the adoption of a son diagnosed with Agenesis of Corpus Callosum and the birth our a healthy little girl. It's a crazy life, but we are loving it.

It came out!!!

The beloved first tooth has finally come out!

Emily was a little freaked out at first, when she saw the tooth and blood. But, after is was cleaned off and she rinsed her mouth out, she was so excited that her first tooth came out. It wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be. She got a visit from the tooth fairy and was super excited.
Her new smile!
And for a trip down memory lane!

Here is Ethan when he lost his first tooth. Look at those grubby little boy hands he had!

Christmas 2011

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. This year was a little off for us. My grandmother has been in and out of the hospital this year, and she had to go back in last week. She has lots of health problems and they are keeping her for a while. She was there over Christmas, so that just made Christmas this year kinda blah for my family.  Although we are thankful she is still here with us, we missed her spending Christmas day with the whole family. Please remember my Grandma Dolly in your prayers.

The kids had a great Christmas!

We left cookies and milk.

I made fruitcake cookies. My Granny Emiline's recipe.

Santa came through with a JB doll!

Love this pic. Ethan's 1st sleepy look at what Santa brought him!

Ethan got a pogo stick.

More presents.

Emily has her first loose tooth. It is sooo loose but she refuses to pull it.
My parents show ladybug the options to help her pull her tooth; pliers & string! She doesn't look happy.

Hope all of you had a great Christmas this year!

Ethan's 9th Birthday Sleepover!

We had Ethan's 9th birthday party last night. We let Ethan invite some of friends for a sleepover. The good news is... I survived! Actually, we had a great night. All the boys were great and they had a fun time! Ladybug got to spend the night with Granny and Pawpaw so she missed out on all the rowdiness that was commencing until 2am.

The birthday boy!

Pizza!

OK! I wrote "Happy 9th Birthday Ethan" on this cookie with some icing I had. Not pretty, but still tasty!

Present time!

Blowing out the candles with his friend Aaron!

Movie time!

The boys!

Silly sister!

Sweet Anthony!

Ethan's friend Jonathan came over the next morning.

Watching Daddy burn brush. We live in the woods, there is lots of brush to burn!
Sweet Aron, playing DS and relaxing!

Ethan's friend Aaron has his birthday party this afternoon and is spending the night with him tonight! Stinkbug is going to be one tired boy this weekend!

Happy 9th birthday, Ethan! We love you and want nothing but the best for you as you grow up! Please keep your heart and mind on Jesus, as he loves you so much and we do too!

Yum, Yum!

Recently, I made some delicious soup and these awesome biscuits!

Tortellini soup!

7-Up biscuits!
The tortellini soup was really good and really simple. I got the recipe from here.

The biscuits were so good I made them twice in one weekend. I think I read they are a knock-off of Popeye's biscuits. I don't know, but they were so good!

And just for grins...

Emily came in the kitchen dressed up like this the other day! This girl is so silly!
Ethan and his balloon sword!
We went to our bank's Christmas party, and Ethan stood in line for almost an hour to get this balloon sword. He was awfully proud!

Visiting Santa!

They kids saw Santa the other week. Their wishes?  Ethan asked for a remote controlled truck. Emily asked for a Justin Bieber doll.

I also took the kids pictures for our Christmas cards. Here are a few!

Here is my favorite ornament that my hubby got me the year our Max died. I love it!

Lord, Help Me!

Remember when I was ranting talking about my little girls love for Justin Bieber? If not, you can read it here.

I found this in my little ladybug's room this morning!

Yes, this is her handwriting! She tried to throw if away after I saw it, but I dug it out of the trash to take a picture! She's only 5! Lord, Help Me!
