Mark, Jennifer, Ethan, Emily

This blog is about our family, who have dealt with the loss of two sons with Muscular Dystrophy, the adoption of a son diagnosed with Agenesis of Corpus Callosum and the birth our a healthy little girl. It's a crazy life, but we are loving it.

Share A Laugh Sunday

I saw this on Pinterest and I laughed and laughed because I think this is what Ethan would do if I put a note in his lunch! Too funny!

Police Memorial Ceremony

This weeks is National Police Memorial Week and yesterday was the official Police Memorial Day. Our county put on a Police Memorial Ceremony and honored all the fallen officers our county has lost throughout the years . It was a really great and moving ceremony.

Best of all, they asked my husband to come and do the invocation, read a few scriptures and give a prayer. He did a wonderful job.

If you ever get a chance to thank a peace officer, please do so. They work long hours and deal with all kinds of yahoos and cray-cray people. Often with very little or no thanks. Pray for them and their families who worry and who have to carry on while they are gone all hours of the night, weekends and on holidays.  I for one am honored to work with these wonderful men and woman and it is my desire to show them constant support and hold them up in prayer.

Have a wonderful week!

Share A Laugh Sunday

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day.

Emily made one of those fill in the blank Mother's Day questionnaires at school and gave it to me for Mother's Day. It was so funny that while I was reading it I was laughing and Emily thought I was making fun of it and got mad at me!

I love those little questionnaires and I will treasure them forever. My little ones won't be little very long.

Apparently, according to Emily, my favorite activities are cooking and taking naps. So, I think I need this shirt I found Pinterest!

Share A Laugh Sunday (Birthday Edition)

Happy 35th Birthday to me!  I remember when I turned 30 I cried, but now I realize that having a birthday is a great thing! It beats the alternative... being dead!

Actually, I'm very thankful that the Lord has blessed me with 35 years on this earth. I have a wonderful husband and two wonderful, healthy children. Every day God's mercies are new, and I am so thankful for each day He gives!

Bad Headache = Crazy Dream * A Really Weird And Random Post

I once heard a comedian say that if you eat Mexican food after 9 o'clock at night you'll have visions that you know not of... and you too could write the book of Revelation.

I didn't eat any Mexican food last night, in fact I didn't eat any dinner because I had the mother of all headaches. I left work with this a really bad headache and my head was just pounding by the time I got home. By the time Mark got home and it was dinner time, my eyes hurt so bad and I was really nauseous.

I went and laid down on the couch and woke up around 9:30. Then I stumbled from the couch to the bed and went back to sleep. That's when my crazy dreams started. I normally don't dream, or when I do I forget them as soon as I wake up.  But last night they were real, vivid and strange dreams.

I'll spare you the crazy details, but lets just say it involved Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestly) who was kinda my boyfriend in my dream & Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth) who was my BFF & I on a Greyhound bus to who knows where. I must of had 90210 in the back of my brain somewhere!

Weird because I never really thought of Brandon in that way and I never thought of Kelly being good BFF material for me. I blame it on the mother of all headaches I had.

You may think this is a really weird and random post, but I thought I would document the fact that for a few minutes I hung out with some of the 90210 gang, even if it was totally in my head.

Go ahead, tell me about your weird, crazy dreams where you hang out with a random celebrity. You know you've had them and you want to share...
